Cliffe 14/04/25
The weather was still nice this morning so I made a brief trip to the reserve at Cliffe. The main objective was to hopefully catch up with a Ring Ouzel that had been found a couple of days ago and was still reported first thing this morning.
On arrival I was surprised that nobody else was present and at first wasn't sure of the right location for the bird. However, I eventually found it just inside the new predator fence beyond the second watchpoint. A male, the Ring Ouzel showed well and was my first for several years.
Sedge Warblers were very vocal today and I also heard, then saw a Cuckoo. A male Marsh Harrier overhead attracted the attention of three Kestrels.
